LAW FIRM GOES TO THE DOGS
Oldham Kramer matches funds in campaign to feed rescued bullmastiffs
AKRON, Ohio) Oct. 7, 2009 – Oldham Kramer is joining forces with the American Bullmastiff Association (ABA) to raise funds for rescue animals. The “Give Me Five for Food” campaign can be accessed by clicking a link at http://www.bullmastiff.us/rescue and donating five dollars (or more) to buy food for rescued bullmastiffs that are awaiting adoption into loving families. Oldham Kramer will match donations up to the first $500 raised.
It’s a charity that is close to the firm’s heart. The “Give Me Five for Food” spokesdog, Magnum, belongs to the firm’s receptionist Dee Meier. Magnum can be found on the ABA rescue home page, throwing a “high five” at visitors and encouraging them to donate.
Meier heard about the association from managing partner Reg Kramer, who is himself a dog lover.
“We used to joke that the initials of our partners’ last names spelled out ‘OK-DOGS,’ so it seems appropriate that we’d be involved with a charity like this,” remarked Kramer. “Seriously though, these gentle, regal creatures make great family pets and we’re happy to help out.”
“We appreciate Oldham Kramer’s willingness to help our cause,” said LouAnn Davidson, ABA rescue volunteer. “Our organization is dedicated to caring for the needs of these dogs until they find a home, and the cost of food is significant. Often they are severely underweight when we get them and it’s on us to bring them back to a healthy weight.”
The association hopes to raise $5,000 during the campaign.
Founded in 1994, Oldham Kramer is a full-service law firm that focuses on business and employment law, complex litigation, real estate, insurance law and defense, and estate planning and probate. The office is located at 195 South Main Street in downtown Akron.
